http://www.egrandprix.comLess than two years ago Azhar Hussain presented a completely unrealisable dream to the club – running a race for electric bikes at the IOM  TT in June 2009.  Well, sometimes those “unrealisable” dreams are realised and Azhar made that event happen! Not only that, he has proved to be the catalyst for a whole new sport – see his website www.egrandprix.com with events coming up across the world, and www.wired.com/autopia/2010/02/ttxgp-2010-season - so best work out your holiday dates now! Azhar will share some of his experiences with the club.

P.S. Azhar could be the Bernie Eccleston of electric-bike-racing – except that Azhar seems a normal bloke!

Azhar Hussain was the moving spirit behind the first race for electric bikes at the IOM TT in June 2009 – an extraordinary achievement. Not only that, he has proved to be the catalyst for a whole new sport – see his website www.egrandprix.com with events coming up across the world, and www.wired.com/autopia/2010/02/ttxgp-2010-season. He presented the current bikes that he is supplying.

Sally Relton presented her idea for using electronic sensors for improving markings on tennis courts and indicating ball positions – idea in the eraly stages requiring some technical input.
Alex Thomas presented a novel soap dish - 12 members were comparitively indifferent to the idea - but two members said they would definitely buy one. A fascinating market survey as it was the two ladies present who wanted one!
